Lets get smart about coaching.
Coaching is a partnership that helps a person tap into their latent potential. How do you get the most from your coaching experience?

Tips for an effective coaching partnership

Identify your challenges. It always helps to get the ball rolling when you have a challenge or goal you want to reach. The value of coaching is to consider the challenge or goal from different perspectives and seeing it for what it is, and what it can be.

Prepare to explore. This doesn’t mean that you need to bring a business case, or even make notes. Preparing may be as simple as putting together a list of decisions, or thoughts or even considering what your next steps are or working on an idea.

Know your outcomes. Building the future is uncertain, knowing what you want is easy. Its knowing the next steps that trip us up sometimes. Working with a coach can help you clarify the next steps and work with you to realize the outcomes you want.

Consider the risks. What could go wrong is usually the furthest from our minds when we consider the future. We’ve had enough “gloomscrolling”. Considering what could stop us from achieving our goals is thought to be negative and to be avoided. Be proactive, identify the risks and plan to overcome them. Its much easier not to get knocked off course if you anticipated the wave!

Direct your next steps. Putting together a plan of action is your first step on the road to success. Sticking with it is usually where people need help and that’s exactly where your coach can support and guide you.Knowing what to do and doing it are two separate actions.
I believe in being effective.
An effective coaching partnership helps you succeed. An effective next step is to connect.
